- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups seasoning blend
- 2 medium carrots, shredded
- 3 - 14 oz can's of diced or crushed tomatoes
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 t dried thyme
- 1 minced garlic clove
- pinch of rosemary
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- ADD IN LATER: 1-2 lbs small shrimp, peeled
Directions:
- Melt butter in skillet, then add flour.
- Stir until lightly browned.
- Add seasoning blend and carrot.
- Cook 5-10 minutes then transfer to slow cooker.
- Add all ingredients except shrimp and stir well.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours, adding shrimp the last hour.
- Serve over rice.
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup season blend
- 20 oz can beef broth
- 1 cup non fat milk
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp flour
- 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Brown turkey on stove-top in skillet, then add to cooker.
- In skillet heat broth, milk, and water, mixing flour in until smooth, then pour into cooker.
- Add seasoning blend to cooker.
- Cover & cook on low 4 hours.
- Add cheese and cook 1 hour or until serving.
I intend to serve with garlic bread for dipping.
- 1 lb pork (ground, stew meat, whatever you want)
- 1 cup seasoning blend
- 1 large sweet potato, peeled and cubed in 1" pieces
- 2 large carrots cut thick
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 "can" water
- 1/2 tsp rosemary
- seasonings to taste
- ADD IN LATER: 1-2 cups 1" dice red potatoes, skin on
Directions:- Add everything except red potatoes to crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours.
- Add in potatoes and cook another 2-4 on low until all vegetables are tender.
EXCELLENT over rice!
