Shrimp Creole

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cups seasoning blend
  • 2 medium carrots, shredded
  • 3 - 14 oz can's of diced or crushed tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 t dried thyme
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • pinch of rosemary
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ADD IN LATER: 1-2 lbs small shrimp, peeled

Directions:
  1. Melt butter in skillet, then add flour.
  2. Stir until lightly browned.
  3. Add seasoning blend and carrot.
  4. Cook 5-10 minutes then transfer to slow cooker.
  5. Add all ingredients except shrimp and stir well.
  6. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, adding shrimp the last hour.
  7. Serve over rice.

Cheeseburger Soup

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup season blend
  • 20 oz can beef broth
  • 1 cup non fat milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
  1. Brown turkey on stove-top in skillet, then add to cooker.
  2. In skillet heat broth, milk, and water, mixing flour in until smooth, then pour into cooker.
  3. Add seasoning blend to cooker.
  4. Cover & cook on low 4 hours.
  5. Add cheese and cook 1 hour or until serving.

I intend to serve with garlic bread for dipping.

Pork Potato Stew

  • 1 lb pork (ground, stew meat, whatever you want)
  • 1 cup seasoning blend
  • 1 large sweet potato, peeled and cubed in 1" pieces
  • 2 large carrots cut thick
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 "can" water
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary
  • seasonings to taste
  • ADD IN LATER: 1-2 cups 1" dice red potatoes, skin on
Directions:
  1. Add everything except red potatoes to crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours.
  2. Add in potatoes and cook another 2-4 on low until all vegetables are tender.

EXCELLENT over rice!
